 Image Processing

Image processing is divided up into the following four areas:

1. Motion Detection

Motion detection is recognizing the differential motion of the image from the next image.  Motion detection is fully adjustable.

2. Motion Tracing

Motion tracing is outlining, tracing, and keeping track of the motion of the observed area.  The tracking of motion is based on the Sobel Calculation that detects the outline of the motion and a search is conducted until the center of the outline is discovered.  Motion tracing is currently being studied in the area of computer vision.

3. Interpolation

Interpolation is correcting an anomaly known as the stair phenomenon where parts of the digital image enlarge or shrink unnecessarily.

4. Light Amplifier

Light amplification is a technique where images are clarified by amplifying dark portions of the image.
